Beautiful Owl

Description

When I was at Punta del Diablo I was taking some photos of woods and landscapes. While I was shooting my husband was sitting in the car. Suddenly, he knocked several times on the car window and made signs that I should look quickly at something across the street.
It was an owl !! :omg: Exactly the specific kind of owl that I love the most, small and beautiful! And then another came, so it was a couple that had a nest nearby.

I tried to capture it with my camera but there was almost no light and all the shots came out horrible... It was impossible to focus. I couldn't see a thing! I was very sad and frustrated :tears:, so he told me that we could come next day at sunset and try to get them.

So we did... but the owls were stubborn and only showed up when there was no light to make focus. I shot blindly and - of course - I captured blurred shapes only. :(

We both agreed: " At least we could see them !"

Later that same night we went to the beach where the fishermen's were to take some shots of the boats and while I was composing we heard a couple of shrieks...
We couldn't belive it when we looked: it was the owl! :omg: The fishermen standing nearby were stunned. They had never seen an owl at the beach before.

To my full astonishment, the owl landed exactly in the middle of my previous composition, at the top of the boat's mast ! :faint: (Check that one here: [link]). I shot quickly to make sure that I would have it at least on ONE photo of it... and then I started approaching it in an attempt to get a closer image. A couple of photos turned bad because it used to turn its head or blink while the camera was capturing it, so hubby told me that he would let me know when the owl was staring at us. He did... and I shot...the owl was quiet, without even blinking during the seconds the camera was capturing the image ! :w00t:

As hubby said..."this owl must have been sent to you by one of your relatives that passed away and love you... they know your passion for owls and they wanted you to be happy!". I do belive that !!!

Hope you like it. :aww:
